Wish they never updated this app, before update I got incredible evp spot on. It was super simple to use now after last update it’s loaded with lots of junk features that destroyed any future evp capture. So whoever is in charge of the app can you please bring it back to the original form?

I've had this app for a few years now and it seems to be crashing each time I use it now.

The ghost hunting craze of the last 15 or so years had been a huge money maker for simple developers and their programs. The Echovox is a glorified version of the “EVP maker” software that was released for free online years ago. They also released they’re source code as well so that one can tinker. And tinker they did! This particular developer did do his work and created a streamlined application that’s very user friendly. It works, well-as per it’s functionality, not sure if you will make the supposed contact with the dead-but who knows. The verdict: this app hasn’t received any major updates since it’s last one a few years back. Why? Well, because it works as it was developed. Again I wouldn’t say you will contact the supernatural but all of the settings work as they should. Remember this-If you are really interested in breaking into this type of research you really only need a digital voice recorder. The rest is all hype. But again, If you must have something that has more bells and whistles then this app is great as far as how much it offers. It has everything. Compared to a $300 broken radio on eBay…that is well broken. Get it. It’s fun!

I got this several years ago for 20$. I now have iPhone 13 Pro. Still doesn’t play back. Hope it made you some money. I’ve tried it on many occasions. Appears real and interesting. You cannot understand any voices tho. I recently went to Waverly Hills Sanatorium and if I had used this in good faith to hear back anything I would be really upset. But it won’t ever play back a recording so I didn’t use it. But I got to see and hear things amazing without it. Please fix that. I love the spirit world and this is just not cool according to how it’s described.

Be careful if you don’t know what you’re doing, I thought it was all a joke but I don’t think so anymore. Even if it’s just to hear her someone or yourself try to pray before attempting to listen to this and make sure you pray afterwards that nothing follows you. I probably sound crazy but sometimes I actually think I’m crazy myself I just have to believe that I am with God and I feel much stronger and safer. The only thing I wish is that it would record. The record function is very iffy. Sometimes it works and sometimes it just doesn’t. Actually most of the time it won’t record and just shuts down when I tried to turn it on.

The Bluetooth on the app does not work. App has good potential.

I don’t know why it has so many bad reviews but this app actually works it honestly works better than most I’ve ever used, from my experience this app seemed to help with certain “situations” my biggest tip to you is keep messing around with it and tweaking it until you get results it’s kinda hard to use but it works if you use it properly I forgot to mention that it gives intelligent responses if you use it the right way, if it doesn’t work for you your obviously using it wrong or you don’t know anything about what you’re doing. I’ve seen a lot of reviews talking down on this app but it’s obvious those individuals don’t even know what they’re talking about, also it’s literally an app if you’re not pleased by it don’t be cheap and invest in actual equipment lol 😉

if the app didn’t have a huge bug in it where it turns off every time I attempted to record because it has a pretty decent recording system, editing and playback(or at least it looks decent, I’m yet to try it) if that was fixed I’d give five stars , then I’d give it five stars cause it’s a pretty good app but I’d really like them to fix The issue because I can’t record anything using their app and it’s a pain finding a recording I have not trying to charge me monthly or something ridiculous

I just got this app which it’s very cool and interesting. I have had some communication and it seems to be the real deal. However I have an iPhone and every time I hit start to rec a session the app crashes n takes me out of it. It does this everytime no matter what. I payed 20 $ for app I would atleast like to be able to rec my sessions especially the ones I get great communication on. It’s definitely upsetting where it’s prob the best app I have come across for communication it’s up there with Necrophonic but the fact I can’t rec n keep logs on here is just a let down. Please do what you can to correct this , if not for this I would give 5 stars easy.

I tried for days to get this app to work and never got anything. It crashes when you try to record and the volume is minimal. I want a refund. What a waste of money.

I’ve had this app the better part of 5 years. Time after time, investigation after investigation, it’s never let me down. I’m sorry that I don’t remember the dude’s name that made it, he did a great job and he always answered all my questions.

I use to use this in all my investigations but when they upgraded and updated this app I do not get the results I did before. I had some really crazy conversations with other spirits and in tidies. I even spoke to my mom when she died and had some of the best results. Know when I hit record it shuts down and takes me to my home screen. Also the older version was basic but very successful. It was one of my main apps I used besides the SLS system I use. I do professional paranormal investigations. I’m going to try another app see work better.! I need something I can depend on for successful proof. Thank you for your time.

I have had the other Echovox which is way better in volume!! I want my money back! This one is the worst app ever and I do spirit box sessions everyday!

Horrible! App doesn’t work well and always force closes.

I’d read the reviews and saw people having issues with the volume as well as the recording. However, someone with the same phone as me said they didn’t have any issues so I decided to download it. Although I’m just figuring it out, I do believe it’s something I’ll enjoy using except for the two things I mentioned. I can barely hear the audio and every time I try to hit record the app shuts down. Please fix and I’ll raise my rating. Thanks!

Press record. No good if you can help it would be great

There’s so much chatter it’s almost impossible to pick up any LOOPED words. After awhile you’ll likely get a headache. Extra buttons are useless. It’s actually sickening how much this guy charges when there hasn’t been an update in 2 years AND so many people want a refund including me! Apple denied my request go figure! No developer website listed? Imagine that! Ghost Detector free version is better! Now I’m stuck with this horrible excuse for an app! ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH A PENNY!

Purchased the app today and it is not working properly. The record feature automatically closes out the app everytime I try to turn it on, and there are other attributes I cannot get to work effectively. On the Necrophonic app I’m able to hear several full sentences per session from spirit. I can only hear chopped up words on this app and I would really like a refund. I’ll remove this review after getting a refund. Thank you

This app crashes each time I try to start recording on my iPhone 11. Is this something you are currently trying to resolve? I would love to use this app, so I’m hoping it will be fixed soon! Thank you!

Kicks you off and now the burst and sound loop cuts out and there is no sound.

Souls have a guide to explain to you how to work and use everything. After figuring it out and used it it was awesome. I went to use the restroom while using the app and one of the spirits said “she’s peeing” while I was peeing and told me to flush. And then when I went to wash my hands they said water. Also I would say hello and they would say hello back same with goodbye. I asked them how they were and they said good and we’re fine. I asked them to say my name and they did! They also told me their names and how many children they had and why they died and where they came from. I also was smoking weed and they kept saying refer and herb.

I have a brand new iPhone 11 pro, was so excited about this app but every time I try to record the app force closes. 😭 I understand all the features are tightly woven in a little bitty app- but recording is more important than a few of the minute settings for me. Please update/patch/fix this and I will gladly change my review. If this isn’t resolved in 15 days, I wish to be refunded please. Thank you

I have to say this app is the real deal for spirit communication. I read some of the comments about not being able to delete the recordings. Just swipe it to the left and the recordings will be deleted. Press delete and the recording is gone. The Bluetooth speaker works very well with this app. The louder the better results you will get on a session. You can use a recorder or use the recorder that is already built into the app. Just make sure to have a external Bluetooth cord for the Bluetooth speaker. Wireless Bluetooth is not programmed into the app. The cool part is when you speak into the Bluetooth speaker. Your voice echoes into the air. Without echo there is no spirit communication. You must have echo on for good results. This app takes time to learn how to use. It’s not complicated at all to set up before you press start for a session. If you have trouble understanding how to use the app. YouTube has plenty of good videos to watch on how to use this app. It took me a few days to understand what I was doing. Everything is random by choice when setting up the speed control, A, B, C, D, E, F speed etc. No ones setup will be the same. No words are programmed into this, but phonetics are. Far as I know what I read online. Spirits use all the randomness to make words to speak within this app. When I had my 1st real conversation. I was blown away with surprise. I was in my room when I did a session. The spirits knew my name and my mother’s name. At the time it was just me and my mother in the house. They knew she was downstairs and asleep. They said it too me clear as day. Talking Upon each other. No joke. I highly doubt my phone can detect if anyone was asleep in the house. In my room with the door closed. Nothing bad happened at all. Some spirits were nice to me and some were not. Conversation wise. I was talking to 5 at one time. Just be nice to them no matter what and close off the session nicely. Many of them are lost souls trying to find their way the light or heaven. Which ever the case may be. Not to sound religious. I highly recommended not to use this app like crazy all the time in the house. If it wasn’t Hunted before. There’s a possibility it can be if misused too much. Not unless you don’t care to have many spirits in the house at one. They should go away when the person is not using it very much. This app is no different than using a PSB-7 spirit box device. The only difference is the echovox works a thousand times better than a PSB-7 spirit box. I love the PSB-7 and echovox. They are both good for a spirit investigation case. The number one rule is don’t over use the spirit box. Simple rule. Any spirit box or device. I hope this kind of research continues and improves to get better in the paranormal world. This app is a breakthrough in the paranormal world for spirit communication. I hope this app will continue to be used by others for research purposes and continue onward. I can see this app help solve murder cases in the future for crime cases to help others. I can’t wait to try it out in the graveyard. This app is 20.00 dollars for a good reason and I can understand why. This app is definitely not a toy. In my opinion I think this is the best app for spirit communication by far in the world. I love this app.

amazing app and would recommend

I have been a paid professional Para nerd since 2008 and have used the Echovox 2.0 and now 3.0 for Apple since 2012 for my personal Paranormal investigations and for my public investigations and tours. I have done numerous Podcasts and a T.V. Show and Echovox has traveled right along with me. I highly recommend this tool also lean the many aspect of Echovox on YouTube. Cheers!

It shuts down after about 2-3 minutes. I was first told to delete and reinstall. Didn’t work. Then I was told to turn of reverb and not to use an external speaker. Still shuts down. I am so not happy. Our team so far has three investigations coming up and this so called great app is now useless for me.

So with my limited experience with paranormal equipment I’d have to say this app is 100% legitimate. Tested it out and I had a spiritual entity counting numbers and speaking to me it was insane. I noticed in some of the other reviews people had stated you couldn’t delete your audio recordings this is not true, to delete audio files you must swipe to the left and the delete button will appear. Also if you do not have the settings tuned properly you won’t be able to hear anything there are a few good YouTube tutorials on how to set the settings make sure you save them on the menu screen so you can just Load them next time you use the app

Ignore the idiot who doesn't know how to delete. You swipe recording to left and tap red delete button like almost anything else on iOS lol.

One has to be fairly imaginative and a believer to make actual phonetic discovery. My wireless Bluetooth doesn’t connect whenever I try to start a session.

It’s hard to use but ITS REAL REAL and a little creepy.

I’ve been investigating for about 10 years and a 4th generation medium. I’m also a developer and have been in this field since 1995. This is long, but I wanted to get into detail that will hopefully help others learn this app. That being said, I’m often very weary of phone apps for investigations, but after reading blogs and YouTube channels from investigators all over the world, I decided to bite the bullet. First I looked at the sound files in each data bank, they’re about 2-3 seconds each, not enough to give a false positive much less a full sentence. I honestly can not tell you how this works, but it does. I put my phone on airplane mode so it would only be using the app itself. I have a pricey electricians EMF detector that is hard to set off. It only alerts when the EMF is at dangerous levels. It’s meant for businesses & homes. After I configured the settings to my liking, I wasn’t getting anything which is normal. We are on the dead’s time, they’re not on ours. I asked “is anyone with me?” My detector started going crazy and I received a full response “ me, I’m here”. Awesome. I also got a full response from one of the dead who Live in my house. He is my guardian. His name also came through and he told me where he and the others stayed (which I knew, but it was awesome to get that validation) and the equipment going off as a response comes through is more than validation. I’m confident enough to say I will be using this during my team investigations. And this is the first and only phone app I have ever believed in that does what it says. It’s a mix of the SB’s and the Portal. I don’t know how Daniel made this work. But, it’s 100% legit. There are also many blogs and YouTube tutorials that show you what each drawer does, I recommend watching them to learn how to configure it to your preference. I also like the fact that you can toggle echo of your voice on or off. This app is also nicer to use as you don’t have the white noise from the SB7 or SB11. I’d recommend this 100%.

My device is haunted it is legion for we I mean they are many.

I loved using Echo Vox on my pad it worked well and recorded fine but with the iPhone 7 it doesn’t record the voices, unfortunately this makes using this app pointless unless you can capture the voice. I’d love it if this could be fixed but until then I will be using other ghost hunting tools

I bought and then downloaded this on both my phone and iPad and I cannot hardly hear any sound come out of it. Yes I’ve had an external speaker hooked up and it’s just as low of sound as the speaker on the iPhone or iPad itself. my speakers work just fine on any other app or when I have hooked it up to anything else. And it can’t be my phone bc the sound works just fine any time besides when I try to use this. I’ve searched how to fix this issue and I just can’t find an answer that works. I probably can’t get a refund so a fix to this issue would be great.

The delete is you scroll what recording you want to delete to the left and it will light up red and say delete. I love this app.

But Please make it to where it can connect to Bluetooth.

It works for me, does wonders too!! everyone is different and either spirits are going to talk to you or they’re not!!

Listening to the app carefully at a Civil War battlefield site, it said "union" twice and "attack". Update—-the upgrade to 3.0 provides a much needed audio to the iPhone’s internal speakers. Plus more features. I have a iPhone 8 and right now I’m having no problems. At one haunted place I heard the app said “get out of here”. Right now I am experimenting the reverb settings, other settings to find the best results for getting EVPs.

So glad to see the update. Found settings on 3.0 I like... however on the iphone 6plus it is very buggy. Won’t always play back! Sometimes saves a session I named but most of the time it’s not saving the recordings. Then suddenly the recording appears if I close the app and reopen, but I just tried again and now that’s not working. Sometimes it will play a recording and then not. I deleted and redownloaded the app, but it didn’t fix the issue.

So glad to see this finally updated. :)

I just bought this not even a hour ago and the volume is horrible I have a iPhone 7 plus so no plug for speaker only Bluetooth I'd like my money back as this was not worth 20.00 to not hear what's being said . I had high hopes for this app :(

I have used the EchVox on my public Paranormal investigations for several years now and I am never disappointed in the results. I play from my iPad and have zero issues My Ghost Story " history never does"
